Gina Choi is a freelance Korean drumming teaching artist and nonprofit arts consultant. She received her M.A. in Ethnomusicology with a focus on Korean drumming from the University of British Columbia and served as a tour manager and translator for Korean percussionist Kim So Ra during her 2019 North America Tour. From 2020 to 2024, she served as the Program Coordinator at the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago (KPAC), where she helped organize events, such as KPAC's 10th Anniversary Concert and Korean Music Conference (2022, 2024). Currently, she spends her time working with adoptee organizations across the Midwest and coordinating short-term residencies for Korean traditional performing artists looking to expand their careers overseas.
